The Department of Management Science at Lancaster University Management School is one of the largest Operational Research and Systems groups in Europe. It has a worldwide reputation as an international center of excellence, with students from several countries undertaking research in the Doctoral Program.
The Department participates in various undergraduate, graduate and PhD degree programs, which will provide you with the logical, mathematical, project management, systems thinking, and information systems and technology skills that are in much demand. Careers include: general management, technical roles, project management, and information systems management. Graduates can find work in consultancy organisations, such as Cap Gemini or Accenture, in operations research (OR), operations management (OM), strategy formulation, or information systems (IS) groups in British Airways (BA), or in specialist management roles - such as a credit analyst for HSBC, forecaster with British Telecom (BT), or information systems architect with IBM.
